SECONDARY EDUCATION

A blend of social and personal development, practical skills in tool use and woodland management and an opportunity to contribute to the local community

JOhn Muir Award

The John Muir Award is an environmental award scheme focused on wild places. It encourages the discovery and conservation of wild places in a spirit of fun, adventure and exploration. It is non-competitive and open to all.

We are registered providers of the John Muir Award and work in partnership  because we believe it's a fantastic way for young people to develop key skills while contributing to their local community.  During the five day award the particpants will develop skills in basic ecology, woodland management, tool use and  personal and social development, but most importantly they will begin to understand the power of doing good in their community and the immense feeling of pride that comes with contributing.
